José Sebastián Loaiza Tapia advises clients on matters regarding consumer protection, intellectual property, unfair competition and free competition, as well as personal data protection. He also provides advice in the development of defense strategies and presentation of briefs, appeals and attention to requirements within the framework of administrative procedures related to the matters indicated above.

He has four years of professional experience in both the private and public sectors. He served at the National Institute for the Defense of Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property – INDECOPI.

He is a lawyer from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, with a Second Specialty in Consumer Protection Law from the same University. He completed the International Course on Data Protection, offered by Pacífico Business School.

In 2024, he published an article, co-authored with Ms. Karina Olano Rodríguez, in an indexed journal of Consumer Protection law on dark business patterns.
