José Mauricio Liévano Mejía advises clients in the negotiation and effective execution of contracts, and in the integral compliance with the regulations applicable to companies, especially in matters related to the rules pertaining to privacy and personal data protection and the implementation of good practices in this area.

He has more than six years of experience in the negotiation of commercial contracts, negotiation and execution of M&A operations in different sectors of the economy.  He has participated in important transactions such as the acquisition of Nutresa, among others.

He is a lawyer from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, specialist in financial law and securities market from the same university, and has continued studies in legal English and legal system of the United States from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and in law and economics of the Internet and two-pronged markets from the University of Chicago.

He was a professor of the Civil Law Department of the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana during the years 2019-2020.
