Lorenzo Pizarro Jaramillo leads the Conflict Resolution and Insolvency areas of BBGS Abogados Colombia.
He holds extensive experience in arbitration, litigation and insolvency. He has been in charge of multiple national, international (commercial and investment) arbitrations, as well as important domestic litigation and insolvency proceedings.
He advises national and international clients in various litigations before courts and arbitration tribunals, in the areas of civil contractual and tort liability, renewable energy, consumer, entertainment, advertising, copyright and new technologies, among others. His practice in bankruptcy and business reorganization regimes is also highlighted, representing both debtors and creditors.
He is a lawyer from Universidad de Los Andes. He holds a Specialization in International Business Law from Universidad de los Andes, and a Specialization in Civil Procedural Law from Universidad Externado de Colombia. He completed an LLM in International Dispute Resolution at King's College London, where he graduated with honors and a distinguished thesis. He is a member of the List of Secretaries of the Arbitration and Conciliation Center of the Bogotá Chamber of Commerce.
